Steve is President and Co-founder of Ardent Insurance & Risk Management. In 1990, he started The Murphy Insurance Group, managed and organically grew that company into one of the larger Insurance Agencies in Wisconsin. He sold that company in 2010. Along with Ken Coloma, Steve started Ardent with the thoughts of growing another highly successful Agency. He loves being the underdog and mentoring others to build successful insurance careers.

He is a family man with three children and grandchildren. He feels giving back to the community is important and is a past Board Member and Officer of Big Brothers & Big Sisters. He also has served and been an officer of various other companies and organizations.
